This motel is awesome. It has a beautiful spot to sit on the porch or cute little garden, and the rooms are spotless. I can't believe how little we paid for this. Central spot with friendly hosts. Don't even bother looking for somewhere else to stay in Bethel or for Sunday River.
Had a great one night stop in this pretty little motel, which was wonderfully clean and looked after. We had a family room (basically 2 adjoining rooms which where we could keep the kids separate!) and it was still a bargain.
Great location. Ruthie is amazing. Comfortable rooms. Best value in Bethel.

My husband and I have stayed at Ruthie’s once or twice a year for a number of years, now. We love it there! Ruthie has always accommodated us with the same room with a view of the lovely town of Bethel and, in the summer, we can enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee (from self-service in the office) sitting on the top deck and read and watch the people go by. The room is always spotlessly clean and comfortable. If you’re lucky enough to catch Ruthie or Kevin when they’re not busy, you will also enjoy a good neighborly chat.
The owners were a lovely couple who spent time giving us local hints and tips (and hand-drawn maps!) and chatted for ages with our son about trains.
